CSEE success!

The Coltman lab had a fantastic time at the CSEE conference this year in Toronto.

Zach did an excellent job sharing his new results on cold tolerance adaptation in the mountain pine beetle.

We are especially proud of Marlee, our honours student, for presenting her research on the heritability of telomeres.

Cassidy wowed the crowd with her epigenetic clock research.

Carson and Tommy both impressed the attendees of the Canadian Innovation in Quantitative Genetics symposium, where they talked about bighorn sheep.

Tommy dressed to impress with his most remarkable result printed on his self-made t-shirt!

Finally, Mel told a packed room all about the heritability and genetic correlation of important breeding traits in pine trees.

In addition to great academic success, we had a lot of fun. Our favourite event was the opening ceremony at the ROM, where the group had roaming access to the biodiversity exhibit.

Until next year, CSEE!
